Feedback was designed to combat two major problems: food waste and hunger. Feedback is a new platform connecting the food service businesses that often experience a surplus of leftovers with the organizations helping to get food to the people who need it most. Feedback removes the major hurdles preventing donations and simplifies the process to eliminate food waste and hunger in the US.

The Process is this Simple

Step One:

A food service business lists available food on the feedback platform.

Step Two:

A non-profit organization identifies a donation through the app that meets their needs and claims it.

Step Three:

That organization's designated driver picks up the donation adn delivers it to their location.

Step Four:

The organization distributes the donation to those in need.

Why food waste is one of the dumbest problems we face.

Every year the average American family throws out more than $2,000 in food. 30-40% of food produced domestically ends up in the trash. When that food ends up in landfills it produces greenhouse gases that are more potent than carbon dioxide. When it comes to the largest producers of greenhouse gases, food waste produced emissions would rank #3, behind only China and the US.

Stats aside, what makes this problem so dumb is that there are millions of people going hungry while these leftovers are left to rot. By working to connect the food waste with the people who need it we are working to help the hunger and also help the planet.

How to donate and get food using our app.

Donate Food

This is where it all starts and where the biggest hurdles lie because without donations, we don’t have anything. We’ve designed our platform to be as simple and intuitive as possible so that you can post your food quickly and get back to the myriad of other things you need to do.

Take a photo and provide detail/description to post your food donation
Get notified when someone claims your food and track the driver real-time on navigation
Your donation is picked up safely

Find and Receive Food

Your organization is busy and tracking down food is not something you have time for. That’s why we’ve made our ever-changing database as simple to use as possible, or you can even set up notifications so that whenever a posting fits your designated parameters you’ll automatically be notified.

Search or browse for food by distance, type, quantity, etc.
Once you find the type of food that you need, claim it and set the ETA to inform the donor
Drive to the location and pick up your food
